At its June 17 - 18, 2025, meeting, the Alaska Retirement Management Board (ARMB) adopted Resolution 2025-08 relating to the Protection of Alaska Plan Participants from Conflicted Rollover Solicitations Relating to Distribution Counseling and Withdrawal Processing Provided by Empower for the Defined Contribution Retirement Plans, Deferred Compensation Plan, and the Supplemental Annuity Plan (SBS-AP). 

The resolution included several formal requests from the ARMB to the Division of Retirement and Benefits (DRB). The Board has continued to seek updates on these items at subsequent meetings. 

During the December 3-4, 2025, Board of Trustees Meeting, ARMB Chair Williams reiterated the Board's interest in these updates during his Chair's Report. DRB Director Kathy Lea responded to Chair Williams' statement.
