Unclaimed Property

To File a Claim

To find out if you have unclaimed property on file with the Department of Revenue, use our searchable database. Alaska's searchable database is linked with www.missingmoney.com where 41+ states can be searched at one time.

If your name is in the database you will need to complete the claim form on the missing money website.

If you have questions please contact us by email at ucproperty@alaska.gov or call (907) 465-3726 (GOLDPAN). Please include your mailing address, telephone number, last 4 digits of your social security number, and the Property Sequence Number (PSN) associated with the property listed on our database.

To verify ownership of a property you may be asked for one or more of the following documents:

  • Name change document
  • Birth certificate
  • Verification of former address
  • Original stock certificate
  • Passport
  • Business license
  • Relationship to deceased
  • Death certificate
  • Verify business relationship
  • Last Will & Testament
  • Articles of Incorporation
  • Business Authorization
  • Guardianship or Power of Attorney
  • Other miscellaneous documentation

Overpaid contributions by employees to the unemployment compensation fund are not considered unclaimed property, but you can view their list at the following link, Unclaimed Employer or Employee Refunds.
