Beaches
Beaches is a system which allows State agencies to transfer and receive ACH transactions with the State of Alaska’s Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI). ACH transfers represent the electronic exchange of funds between accounts held at U.S. financial institutions. State agencies use
ACH transactions
to disburse or receive electronic payments. Using this method a State agency can build a web application that will interface to Beaches and collect electronic payments from customers.
Beaches offers the ability to “warehouse” a payment. For example, a taxpayer whose tax payment is due on the last business day of a month will be able to input a payment anytime during the month that will automatically process on a specific payment due date. No checks to mail, no stamps to buy, no wire transfers to worry about. Beaches will electronically transmit or receive several types of electronic payments simply, efficiently and effectively.
