Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Investment Fund

The Exxon Valdez Oil Spill Investment Fund was created at the direction of the Exxon Valdez Trustee Council to hold settlement funds paid by Exxon after the Exxon Valdez oil spill in the Prince William Sound. The fund, originally set up with three accounts with each held for a specific purpose, consisted of the EVOS Research Investment, EVOS Habitat Investment and EVOS Koniag Investment. In March 2014, the Koniag Investment account was liquidated and all its assets placed into the EVOS Habitat Investment account. The EVOS Trust Council maintains the investment authority over the two accounts and directs the Treasury Division regarding their management.
